CFB-DRYERS

Einco offers Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) dryers with direct or indirect heat introduction for sludges, powders, minerals, crystals and other bulk and solid materials. CFB-dryers combine unique operational characteristics and good economy.

Einco's CFB-dryer designs have been granted several patents. CFB-dryers are simple, compact, gas tight and have little need for maintenance. Accurate process control is a key benefit over other dryer types.

Advantages:

  1. Fully automatic process
  2. Superior temperature control
  3. Minimal VOC-emissions in biomass drying
  4. Flammable and explosive materials can be dried safely
  5. Fluid dynamic flexibility
  6. Accepts materials with wide particle size distribution
  7. Compact size
  8. Simple feed and extraction apparatus

DRYER TYPES: DIRECT VS. INDIRECT

Einco's dryers use either direct or indirect heat introduction. In direct CFB-dryers heating gas and drying material are in direct contact. Indirect CFB-dryers have a heat exchanger, which separates heating media from drying material.

To find out optimal dryer type, operating parameters and capacity, Einco does thorough process analysis and economy calculations. Each new material will be tested in a test dryer in our laboratory to determine optimal dryer size and dimensioning.

DRIED MATERIALS

Examples of materials dried with Einco's direct and indirect dryers.
  • Sludges: sewage, paper mill, de-inking, minerals, etc.
  • Biomaterials: sawdust, wood chips, peat, food industry materials, etc.
  • Minerals: sand, gravel, fiber clay, metal/mineral powders
