Drying of high water content fuels
- Used if combustion quality or energy balances require
- Necessary with sludges
- A specifically designed CFB-dryer is used for drying
- The dryer uses energy from the CTC-boiler
|
| 4-6 |
Primary combustion in a CTC-boiler
- Incineration of waste fuels + combustion of non-waste-fuels
- Primary combustion takes place under highly-controlled conditions
- Surplus heat from the CTC-boiler is used in the CFB-dryer or recovered
|
| 7-9 |
Secondary combustion and heat recovery
- Takes place in a high temperature with a long residence time
- Oxidizes emission components
- Heat is recovered from flue gases and utilized in the process or elsewhere
|

Flue gas clean-up
- Gaseous emissions are well below allowed limits
- No odours
- No waste water
- Dry ash is the only by-product from the process
